PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Our team uniquely specializes in developing and implementing innovative solutions to difficult recovery programs within the framework of the FEMA Public Assistance Program. Some examples include:

  • Negotiating the application and allocation of insurance proceeds to minimize or eliminate FEMA penalties associated with pre-disaster failures to obtain required flood insurance.
  • Developing a tool for estimating building contents value for multiple geographically dispersed sites, eliminating the need for multiple labor intensive and costly site visits.
  • Developing damage assessments and scopes of work to help create frameworks that reduce dependencies on site visits for the development of projects.

PROJECT (PW) OBLIGATION

Assist with PW processing by organizing damaged sites into logical groupings, collecting and processing documents requested by FEMA and submitting on Grants Portal. Assist with development of alternate or improved projects and justifying the project with supporting documentation. Assist with answering RFIs and other inquiries about projects in order to have PWs processed in a timely manner

PW CLOSEOUT

Assist with activities related to developing, requesting, transmitting, and processing documents to request all or portion of the allocated project award amount. Assist with assembling, transmitting, and developing final actual costs for applicant’s project close out and with the response to review and inspection of closure documentation. Assemble all documentation for costs incurred (contracts, Purchase Orders, Invoices, proofs of payment, etc.). Ensure proper procurement documentation and contract terms are available. Reconcile payments received to requests submitted (from express pay or other). Conduct full cost reconciliation (including actual/ anticipated insurance reductions). Assist with development of new project versions of the current project worksheet for the purpose of adjusting the project amount if necessary.
