LCMC is a New Orleans-based, non-profit health system on a mission: to provide the best possible care for every person and parish in Louisiana and beyond and to put a little more heart and soul into healthcare along the way.
LCMC has five locations: Children’s Hospital, Touro, University Medical Center New Orleans, New Orleans East Hospital, and West Jefferson Medical Center. We also deliver world-class care through a network of urgent care centers across the greater New Orleans area with over 2,200 board-certified physicians.
LCMC also partners with local universities to bring the care to patients and train the next generation of healthcare professionals that will make a difference locally. Founded by Louisiana’s first freestanding children’s hospital, LCMC has grown into a healthcare system that’s built to serve the unique needs of our communities and families across New Orleans, the Gulf Coast, and beyond.
The Sulzer Group has represented LCMC manage five different disasters, including the current COVID-19 emergency medical situation. Over the last ten years, The Sulzer Group has helped them recover over $50 million from FEMA.
LCMC identified the current emergency early on, and we have worked with them and FEMA to have the first three projects awarded to a non-governmental body in the State. We continue to work with the hospital system to get additional costs awarded to reimburse them for the expenses associated with COVID-19.
