Holy Cross School
Hurricane Response | Hurricane Katrina, 2005
On behalf of
Holy Cross School, I would like to commend the Sulzer Group on the excellent job they have done in assisting us with our recovery from Hurricane Katrina. Our school was fortunate to have engaged the Sulzer Group from the beginning of the recovery process when we applied for the FEMA public assistance grants. As a result of their initial involvement, the school was successful in increasing its FEMA grant award from an initial estimate of $8 million to the final sum of $87 million.
They were instrumental in not only obtaining the FEMA funds, but they also managed all related construction projects, insured compliance with all grant requirements and managed all related reimbursement process for the school. The Sulzer Group remains heavily involved today representing Holy Cross with Department of Homeland Security Office of Inspector General (DHS OIG) audits and managing the closeout of all FEMA grants.
I would not hesitate to recommend them for any public assistance related projects. They have proved to be dedicated, concerned, and completely committed to the recovery of our school, city, and state.
